Cam Thompson - Transferring back to NIU Thompson has signed with Northern Illinois, On3.com reports.

Impact Thompson transferred out of NIU before the 2025 season, but he played sparingly at Mississippi State. Now, he'll return to the Huskies for his final year of eligibility. Thompson caught 28 passes for 391 yards and three touchdowns for NIU in 2024.

Chavon Wright - Best performance of year in finale Wright had 30 carries for 185 yards and two touchdowns during Friday's 35-31 loss against Kent State.

Impact Wright was used as the workhorse rusher in a traditional committee backfield, and he benefited greatly, even in an eventual loss. The 5-foot-8 running back logged season-highs in every stat category, recording 30 rushes for 185 yards and two touchdowns. He'll close out his redshirt senior campaign with 196 rushing attempts for 875 yards and five touchdowns. He now appears to have used up all his remaining eligibility.

Jalen Macon - Scores two rushing TDs in finale Macon was 5-for-10 passing for 27 yards during Friday's 35-31 defeat to Kent State. He also had 17 rushes for 65 yards with two touchdowns.

Impact Macon was barely utilized on the passing front in the close loss to the Flashes, but he did total 65 yards on the ground and punched in two scores. The 6-foot-5 quarterback started the last three games of the season, so he should have a good shot at the QB1 role next season with former starter Josh Holst hitting the transfer portal. Macon will close out his redshirt junior season with 105 passing yards and one touchdown, along with 45 rushes for 216 yards and five touchdowns.

Brady Davidson - Fills in during fourth quarter Davidson was 5-for-8 passing for 73 yards and one touchdown during Tuesday's 35-19 loss to Western Michigan.

Impact Davidson did not get the starting nod in the loss to the Broncos, but he did come into the game in place of a struggling Jalen Macon during the fourth quarter. The freshman quarterback also played substantially better than Macon, throwing for 75 yards and a touchdown compared to Macon's five passing yards.
