Impact Fowler caught all of two passes for 14 yards last season, but the 6-5, 255-pound junior is now poised to be atop the Huskies' tight end pecking order this fall.

La'Don Bryant - Officially starting for Huskies Bryant is listed as a starter on Northern Illinois' Week 1 depth chart, per Eddie Carifio of the DeKalb Daily Chronicle.

Impact Bryant is poised to greatly surpass his six catches for 40 yards he recorded last season, now having earned a starting role for the Huskies as a junior. He should be a big part of this passing attack.

Brady Davidson - Listed among co-starters at QB Davidson is a co-starter at quarterback for Northern Illinois on its Week 1 depth chart, per Eddie Carifio of the DeKalb Daily Chronicle.

Impact Davidson is listed alongside the more experienced Jalen Macon and Taron Dickens at starting quarterback. It remains a mystery who will trot out with the starters at Iowa on Sept. 5, and it's possible multiple quarterbacks could see snaps. Last season, Davidson tossed for 384 yards, three scores and three interceptions on 46% completion.

Taron Dickens - Listed as co-starter Dickens is listed as a co-starter on Northern Illinois' Week 1 depth chart alongside Jalen Macon and Brady Davidson, per Eddie Carifio of the DeKalb Daily Chronicle.

Impact Dickens, who was initially slated to suit up for North Carolina this fall, transferred to NIU late in the offseason. The former FCS standout at Western Carolina tossed for 3,508 yards, 38 touchdowns and just two interceptions last season while adding 321 yards and a score on the ground. All that experience and production has yet to earn him the starting role in Rockford, however. At this point, it's unclear who will trot out with the starters in Week 1.

Jalen Macon - Co-starting on depth chart Macon is listed as a co-starter at quarterback for Northern Illinois alongside Taron Dickens and Brady Davidson, per Eddie Carifio of the DeKalb Daily Chronicle.

Impact Macon remains in a three-way quarterback race with Week 1 rapidly approaching. The gunslinger has spent the past two seasons as a backup with the Huskies, and last fall he tossed for 105 yards and one touchdown on 9-of-21 passing. He does bring a strong dual-threat element to position, as he added 216 yards and five scores on the ground last fall as well.

Taron Dickens - Signs with NIU Dickens has signed with Northern Illinois, Chris Hummer of 247Sports reports.

Impact Dickens brings a statistically more proven quarterback compared to Northern Illinois' other QBs, the experienced but not vastly experienced Jalen Macon and Brady Davidson. Dickens broke out with West Carolina last season, having completed 74.2 percent of 365 pass attempts for 3,508 passing yards and a 38-2 TD-INT ratio. With the Huskies understandably not standing pat with their quarterback position this summer, it would be unsurprising if Dickens makes a significant leap immediately to be their QB1 entering fall camp.

Impact Dimopoulos has been a quiet member of the Huskies' offense throughout his first two seasons of college ball. Last fall, he reeled in 11 catches for 58 yards, missing the final four games of the season with an injury. Now, the wideout appears to be fully healthy and a much bigger part of this NIU passing game.
