Jeremiyah Love - Sputters against Red Hawks Love tallied 11 rushes for 60 yards and one touchdown and caught 1 of 2 targets for nine yards during Saturday's 28-3 win over Miami (OH).
Impact Outside of Irish quarterback Riley Leonard, the Notre Dame offense sputtered and did enough to win. The 60 yards was a season-low for Love. The sophomore will look to rebound against Louisville (Sept. 28). The Cards defense is top 20 against the run in the country, but Louisville's schedule has been relatively weak.

Steve Angeli - Mops up in win over Red Hawks Angeli completed 1 of 2 passes for four yards during Saturday's 28-3 victory versus Miami (OH).
Impact Angeli came in late in the fourth quarter for a series with the Irish ahead by 25 points. The junior would need an injury to starting quarterback Riley Leonard to get more playing time. Angeli played well in the 40-8 win over Oregon State in the Sun Bowl last December.

The Cards defense is top 50 against the pass and top 20 against the run in the country. The numbers might be deceptive since Louisville's competition has been relatively weak. Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King threw for 312 yards and ran for 58 yards in the Cards 31-19 win last Saturday.

Impact McDonald still was able to log 50 yards receiving, but these weren't close to his 100-plus performances in the past two weeks. The starting wide receiver should get more opportunities to reach back to his huge output games as Miami-Ohio takes on UMass next week.
