Matt Vezza - Competing with Poulos Vezza is in a quarterback battle with Nick Poulos, per ThePostAthens.com.
Impact Vezza is reportedly behind Poulos in the quarterback competition, but he's still pushing him this spring and the battle for the QB1 gig appears to be far from over. Vezza transferred to the Bobcats from FCS New Hampshire this winter, and had a good year at that level, tossing for 2,673 yards, 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
APRIL 21 • ROTOWIRE
Jacob Winters - Competing this spring Winters (undisclosed) is practicing this spring with Ohio, per the program.
Impact Winters has yet to play a down of college football, and he battled an injury all of last season. He's back in action for the Bobcats' spring practice period, but he has at least three gunslingers ahead of him on the depth chart.
APRIL 21 • ROTOWIRE
Nick Poulos - May have edge in QB battle Poulos (undisclosed) may have the edge in Ohio's spring quarterback battle, per the program.
Impact Poulos may have the slight edge in the battle for the Bobcats' QB1, but others are reportedly nipping at his heels and the competition is far from over. Poulos, who has just 290 career passing yards at Ohio, is trying to stave off Matt Vezza and Levi Davis.
APRIL 21 • ROTOWIRE
Victor Rosa - Will be featured with Brune Rosa is expected to form a 1-2 punch with Duncan Brune in Ohio's backfield, per WOUB Public Media.
Impact Rosa transferred to the Bobcats from UConn this offseason, and he and the returnee Brune are expected to be the top two tailbacks in Ohio's offense. Both backs should be featured, but Rosa is likely the "two" in that 1-2 punch.
APRIL 21 • ROTOWIRE
Duncan Brune - Expected to be 1-2 punch with Rosa Brune is expected to form a 1-2 punch in Ohio's backfield with Victor Rosa, per WOUB Public Media.
Impact Brune ran for 585 yards and eight touchdowns last fall for the Bobcats on 4.9 yards per carry. Now, the rising junior tailback should have every opportunity to top that, but he'll share the backfield with Rosa, who's no slouch himself; he has over 1,200 career rushing yards with UConn.
APRIL 21 • ROTOWIRE
Mike Taylor Jr. - Shines in spring Taylor stood out in Ohio's spring practice period but is likely the No. 3 tailback on the Bobcats, per WOUB Public Media.
Impact Taylor appears poised to make an impact in his redshirt freshman season, but he'll likely do so as the third halfback behind Duncan Brune and Victor Rosa.
APRIL 21 • ROTOWIRE
Preston Bowman - Praised as 'explosive' by coach Bowman was described as "explosive" by Bobcats' head coach John Hauser, per WOUB Public Media.
Impact With the Bobcats' wide receiver room wide open, Bowman looks primed to make an impact. The 5-foot-11 wideout didn't play in his true freshman season, and initially planned to enter the transfer portal. However, he'll run it back and appears to be trending towards starting in 2026.
APRIL 21 • ROTOWIRE
Duncan Brune - Returning to Bobcats Brune will run it back with Ohio for his junior season, per the program's official roster.
Impact Brune was a steady part of the Bobcats' backfield in 2025, logging 120 carries for 585 yards and eight touchdowns, catching five passes for 57 yards as well. The tailback initially elected to enter the transfer portal, but he'll run it back with Ohio in 2026 and should be a big factor in their backfield.

Ian VerSteeg - Transfers to Ohio VerSteeg (undisclosed) will transfer to Ohio, the program announced.
Impact VerSteeg didn't log a catch with Wake Forest, and now, he'll hope a change of scenery translates to more opportunities. The 6-foot, 183-pound wideout should have one season of eligibility remaining.
FEBRUARY 10 • ROTOWIRE
Will Hryszko - Transfers to Ohio Hryszko will transfer to Ohio, per 247Sports.
Impact Hryszko knocked through 8-of-11 field goals and all 31 extra points in 2025, his senior year with Kent. Now, he'll take his talents to a premier MAC program, where he'll presumably have one year of eligibility remaining.

Sieh Bangura - Headed to NFL Bangura has declared for the NFL Draft, he announced via his personal X account.
Impact Bangura ends his college career as one of Ohio's top running backs, totaling 3.281 rushing yards and 35 rushing touchdowns across three seasons. In between his three seasons with the Bobcats ('22, '23 and '25), Bangura had a one-year stint at Minnesota, where he never cracked the RB rotation. He rushed for 1,392 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2025 -- both career highs. As a highly productive college RB, Bangura could warrant late-round looks in the 2026 NFL draft, but his lack of success against higher levels of competition may make NFL teams uneasy.

Chase Hendricks - Enough for 1,000-plus yards Hendricks logged four receptions for 87 yards during Tuesday's 17-10 win against UNLV.
Impact By logging 87 receiving yards during the Ohio-UNLV bowl, Hendricks ensures that his 2025 season features four digits in the category. He logged 71 receptions for 1,037 yards and seven touchdowns, a career year going into his senior season in 2026.
DECEMBER 24, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Sieh Bangura - Another rushing touchdown Bangura posted 19 rushes for 149 yards and one touchdown during Tuesday's 17-10 win versus UNLV.
Impact After a down 2024 with Minnesota, Bangura returned to Ohio, where he spent his 2022 and 2023 seasons. Both saw him establish himself as one of college football's best running backs, which meant that 2025 would still mean big shoes to fill for him despite his down season from a year earlier. Somehow, Bangura updated his career-highs, with 241 rushing attempts for 1,392 yards and 15 touchdowns to show for his efforts.
DECEMBER 24, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Parker Navarro - Somewhat down senior season Navarro completed 11 of 15 passes for 143 yards and one interception during Tuesday's 17-10 victory against UNLV. He also had 12 rushes for 43 yards with one touchdown.
Impact In terms of passing, Navarro's 2024 and 2025 seasons are not much different. In both seasons, he logged somewhere between 2,300 and 2,500 passing yards for either 13 or 14 touchdowns to go with exactly 11 interceptions. In 2024, Navarro's running elevated him to the upper echelon of FBS quarterbacks, but that was not the case during 2025. Despite the same number of rushing attempts, he logged far fewer yards and twice as fewer touchdowns. Still, Navarro logged well over 3,000 passing yards and precisely 23 total touchdowns.

Eian Pugh - Not playing in bowl game Pugh (undisclosed) is out for Tuesday's game against UNLV.
Impact Pugh won't be an option for this matchup against UNLV, meaning the team's receiving corps will be a bit shorthanded for Ohio. Pugh ends the season with six catches (on six targets) for 75 yards.
DECEMBER 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Max Rodarte - Out against UNLV Rodarte (undisclosed) is out for Tuesday's game against UNLV.
Impact Rodarte played the first four games of the season for Ohio but never suited up again, so he may have a medical redshirt to avoid losing a year of eligibility. He ends the 2025 campaign with seven catches for 86 yards.
DECEMBER 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Nick Poulos - Questionable for bowl game Poulos is listed as questionable for Tuesday's bowl game against UNLV.
Impact Poulos is at risk of missing Ohio's bowl game. However, even if he's healthy, it's unlikely he'd see the field, as starting QB Parker Navarro is healthy and playing. If Poulos doesn't play, Tim Carpenter would likely step in as the Bobcats' No. 2 QB.
