TreVeyon Henderson - 10 touches in Week 1 blowout Henderson totaled eight carries for 65 yards and reeled in both of his targets for 18 yards during Saturday's 52-6 win versus Akron.
Impact Henderson once again showed his explosiveness with one of Ohio State's longest plays from scrimmage on a 21-yard rush Saturday. As expected, the senior split carries with junior Quinshon Judkins, who logged 13 carries for 55 yards in his Ohio State debut. The Mississippi transfer also got the team's first rushing touchdown with a two-yard score to put the Buckeyes up 24-3 early in the third quarter. However, Henderson was slightly more involved in the passing game, and he only trailed star true freshman wideout Jeremiah Smith in yards from scrimmage (92). Henderson should continue to split carries with Judkins in what will be perhaps the best 1-2 punch at running back in college football this season.

Will Howard - Strong showing in Buckeyes debut Howard completed 17 of 28 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns during Saturday's 52-6 victory versus Akron.
Impact Howard got off to a slow start along with the rest of the Buckeyes' offense, which was breaking in new high-profile starters at a number of positions. Among them was true freshman wideout Jeremiah Smith, who caught each of Howard's first two touchdown passes in the first half. Howard's most explosive completion also came when he lofted a 45-yard pass for Smith who made a sliding, one-handed catch at the Akron one-yard line. The Kansas State transfer also lived up to his reputation as a true dual-threat quarterback, though he still easily trailed the team's extremely dynamic 1-2 punch at running back with Quinshon Judkins (13 carries, 55 yards) and TreVeyon Henderson (eight carries, 65 yards). Howard will look to continue to gel with his new teammates Week 2 versus Western Michigan.

Quinshon Judkins - Scores in Ohio State debut Judkins recorded 13 rushes for 55 yards and one touchdown and failed to haul in his lone target during Saturday's 52-6 victory versus Akron.
Impact Judkins provided immediate physicality in his new digs with the Buckeyes. The 219-pound junior made the most of his opportunities and looked to be the team's go-to back on the goal line, as he pushed his way over the goal line for a two-yard touchdown early in the third quarter. As expected, the highly-coveted transfer from Mississippi still split carries with Ohio State's returning RB1 TreVeyon Henderson, who logged eight rushes for a team-high 65 yards. Judkins also saw just one target in his Ohio State debut while Henderson logged two receptions. These two should continue to strike a relatively equal workload moving forward. However, Judkins' usage on the goal-line could indicate that he's a better bet to find the end zone in games moving forward this season.

Jeremiah Smith - Soars in collegiate debut Smith compiled six receptions (on nine targets) for 92 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 52-6 win against Akron.
Impact Smith lived up to the massive the expectations as one of the most highly-touted wide receiver recruits in recent memory. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound true freshman led the Buckeyes' receiving corps with highs in catches, targets and yards, and he scored each of the team's first two touchdowns during his collegiate debut. Smith showcased his immense talent early in the second half when he snagged a 45-yard pass with one hand as he slid down to the Akron 1-yard line. He also knocked his way into the record books early, as Smith became the first Buckeye since Ted Ginn Jr. in 2006 to score two receiving touchdowns in the first half of an opener. Smith's head-turning debut likely indicates that he'll continue serving as the No. 1 wideout for this extremely talented Buckeyes offense moving forward. He should have a chance to put up explosive numbers once again vesus Western Michigan in Week 2.
