Jason Whitlock on Mark Jackson to the Knicks rumors: ‘He’s long overdue for his second opportunity’

Video Details

Colin Cowherd and Jason Whitlock on the rumors swirling around Mark Jackson and the New York Knicks.

- Cowherd. Think he's a good fit for New York?

- I don't know. He feels New York. He played at St. Johns. He's always--

- Played for the Knicks.

- Yeah I mean, he never felt like the Warriors, their progressive movement. He always felt like the ownership wasn't all in, in Golden State, with him. He feels like a Knick. He feels like a New Yorker to me.

- Well, I just feel like he's long overdue for his second opportunity.

- No question.

- That he had enough success at Golden State that you would be foolish not to bring him in.

- He's a very good defensive coach.

- Yeah. And look. I think he captured the mindset of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson and got these guys to go all in and open up their mind to a level of greatness that perhaps they couldn't even conceive originally.

- Good dude. He's the kind of guy that can walk into a chaotic situation, galvanize it. He's got an easy-going temperament.
