NFL Week 6 Awards: Some things are clearly against the rules (VIDEO)

Published Oct. 12, 2014 11:00 p.m. ET

As we trudge through the month of October. the hits just keep on coming.

Week 6 included some highlight-reel-worthy plays and some eyeroll-inducing gaffes. We even saw some Raiders fans egg the Chargers' team bus. There is room in the world for all to be recognized and rewarded, so let's get started. It's time to hand out some hardware.

1. Mike Pereira Award for the Most Blatant Pass Interference in History: Duke Williams, Bills

Are we dipping into the hyperbole well by saying this? No way. Williams gets beat by Patriots wide receiver Julian Edeleman and when the ball gets near, Duke just shoves him in the back:

That's illegal anywhere. But it's still awesome. Congrats, Duke!

2. Footwork of the Week Award: Terrance Williams, Cowboys

People like to say that it's next to impossible to win in Seattle. Well, what the Cowboys' young wideout did in the fourth quarter was also next to impossible:

3. Honeymoon Might Be Over Award: Doug Baldwin and Russell Wilson, Seahawks

Sunday was a frustrating afternoon for the defending champions. Their offense had trouble moving the ball and frankly, looked inept. Something must have lit a fire under Baldwin, because it seems like he had a lot to say to his quarterback.

Now, we don't know what he was saying, but it's pretty clear that Baldwin was upset about something.

4. Good Sportsmanship Award for Week 6: Richard Sherman, Seahawks

That's right, Sherman gets some credit. After battling hard against Dez Bryant all afternoon, Sherman took some a moment near the end of the game to give Dez some fist bumps.

Is this the same guy who was screaming on national television back in January?

5. Jerry Jones Award for Being Awesome: Jerry Jones

Hey, Jerry! Your team just went up to Seattle and shut down the Seahawks and the 12th Man! What do you think about that?

Couldn't agree more.

6. Dirty Bird Award for Twitter Excellence: Chris Long, Rams

Twitter is a funny thing. While you'll find the occasional witty remark, it's mostly a hodge-podge of obviousness. Rams star Chris Long watched the end of the Packers' victory over the Dolphins and when Aaron Rodgers tossed the winning touchdown pass, Long went to social media and was amused by what he saw:

Exactly.

7. Breaking the Fourth Wall Award: Clay Matthews, Packers

It looks like the linebacker realized the camera was on him. He's a Southern California kid, so he knows what to do:

Ham it up!

8. Lolo Jones Award for Hurdling: Anthony "Boobie" Dixon, Bills

Watch this guy get some serious air over Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard:

Serious ups, my friend.

9. Grateful Lions Fan Award: Jason Dovitz, FOXSports.com

Mr. Dovitz is a mild-mannered, social media maven in love with everything Detroit. And he's had to watch the living nightmare known as the Lions' god-awful kicking game over the past few weeks. Well, the problems seemed to end when the team signed Matt Prater, who nailed a field goal on Sunday.

10. Despondent Lions Fan Award: Jason Dovitz, FOXSports.com

Of course, Prater fell apart and missed two field-goal tries, finishing the day just 1 for 3.

Sorry, dude. Hey, at least the Lions won!

11. Doing Your Opponent a Favor Award: Washington Redskins

Kirk Cousins drops back and finds DeSean Jackson on the screen pass! He could go all the way! He could ... run into guard Chris Chester and fall down!

I guess this proves that it's possible to have too much protection.

12. Getting It Done Award for Week 6: Aaron Rodgers, Packers

Rodgers didn't get to see his winning touchdown pass to Andrew Quarless, but he definitely heard it:

Congrats on another impressive win.

13. Pervy McPervstein Award: Panthers ball boy

Dude, what are you doing?

Settle down, perv boy. That looks creepy.

14. This Week in Stadium Parking Award: Cleveland Browns

Here's hoping that everyone in the stadium was on Twitter during the game:

Nobody wants to come out of a game and see their car gone. Buzzkill.

15. He's Still Going Award: Giovani Bernard, Bengals

This game ended in a tie, but it didn't sully the memory of this amazing run:

Man, that guy is fast.

16. Saluting an Icon Award: Jeremy Hill, Bengals

Not to be outdone by his teammate, the rookie running back scored a touchdown of his own on Sunday. However, he added something special at the end:

Not a bad rendition of the Ickey Shuffle!

17. Best "Oh no!" Face of Week 6: Jay Cutler, Bears

Falcons linebacker Paul Worrilow didn't hear the whistle blow the play dead because of a penalty. So, he planted his helmet right into Cutler's chest. And the look on Jay's face while he's going to the turf is priceless.

We feel his pain.

18. It's So Easy Award: Julius Thomas, Broncos

The big tight end easily pulled in a touchdown grab on Sunday afternoon against the Jets. How do we know it was easy? Because Thomas said so:

Nobody likes a braggart.

19. Proud to be an American Award: Captain Eric Straub

The Air Force member got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend -- and Cardinals cheerleader -- Claire Thornton:

I'm going to assume she said yes.

20. GRONK GRONK GRONK GRONK GRONK AWARD: GRONK!
