NFL Fantasy Football: Week 15 injury report
We are supplying information on the latest and most important injuries across the NFL and letting you know how it could affect your fantasy football team.
Before you set your fantasy football lineup on Sunday morning, make sure you check the injury report to make sure you aren’t playing someone who is out or hobbled by injury. Conversely, if you have a player dealing with an injury, find out here if you should feel confident putting him in your lineup.
Note: The Dolphins and Jets play Saturday night.
Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is listed as out.
The Spin: With Matt Moore starting, the Dolphins wide receivers get a slight downgrade.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is listed as questionable.
The Spin: There’s very little chance Rodgers misses Sunday’s game despite the calf injury. His ability to extend plays with his legs might be compromised but he’s still a solid QB1.
Panthers QB Cam Newton is listed as questionable.
The Spin: Newton will be under center for Monday Night Football.
Jets RB Matt Forte is listed as questionable.
The Spin: Forte missed most of last week’s game with a knee injury. It’d be kind of a surprise to see him active for this game with the Jets having no shot at the playoffs. If he isn’t active, Bilal Powell will see a great deal of work and will be a RB2 with upside.
Eagles RB Darren Sproles is listed as out.
The Spin: Last week Sproles took a vicious hit on a punt return and remains in the concussion protocol. With Sproles out and Wendell Smallwood on I.R., Ryan Mathews will see a heavy workload.
Packers RB James Starks is listed as doubtful.
The Spin: He suffered a concussion in a car accident on Monday. With Starks more than likely to miss this game, Ty Montgomery will see an increased workload.
Packers RB Christine Michael is listed as questionable.
The Spin: Michael is dealing with an illness but should be good to go for Sunday. Despite his availability, Montgomery is the only Packers running back worth trusting.
Vikings RB Matt Asiata is listed as questionable.
The Spin: He will be a game-time decision for Sunday’s game. With Asiata’s status up in the air and Adrian Peterson returning, the Vikings backfield is a mess you probably don’t want to get involved in.
Lions RB Theo Riddick is listed as doubtful.
The Spin: The Lions receiving running back is poised to miss his second straight game.
Chargers RB Melvin Gordon is listed as out.
The Spin: Last week Gordon suffered a hip injury that caused him to miss most of the game and it’s going to keep him out of this one too. Kenneth Farrow will get the start and will more than likely get a majority of the touches in the Chargers backfield.
Jets WR Brandon Marshall is listed as questionable.
The Spin: He’s going to play tonight but at less than 100%. With Marshall at less than 100% and Bryce Petty throwing him the ball (sometimes), he is no better than a WR3/4.
Eagles WR Jordan Matthews is listed as questionable.
The Spin: He’ll be fine for Sunday’s game against the Ravens.
Bills WR Sammy Watkins is listed as questionable.
The Spin: The Bills No.1 wide receiver is expected to play despite the questionable status. He gets a great matchup against the Browns.
Packers WR Randall Cobb is listed as questionable.
The Spin: It’d be surprising not to see him play but Cobb’s production hasn’t been what we expected. Consider him a WR3.
Cowboys WR Dez Bryant is listed as questionable.
The Spin: He’ll be good for Sunday Night Football and should be in owners starting lineups.
Colts WR Donte Moncrief is listed as out.
The Spin: Andrew Luck will be without his No.2 wide receiver in a tough matchup.
Falcons WR Julio Jones is listed as out.
The Spin: The Falcons coaching staff won’t take any chances with their best player. He will miss his second straight game.
Raiders WR Amari Cooper is listed as questionable.
The Spin: He’s playing.
Raiders WR Michael Crabtree is listed as questionable.
The Spin: He too, is playing.
Bengals WR A.J. Green is listed as doubtful.
The Spin: The Bengals No.1 wide receiver almost certainly won’t be playing this week but could return next week.
Bills TE Charles Clay is listed as questionable.
The Spin: Clay has basically been questionable for the entire 2016 season. Despite scoring a touchdown last week, he can’t realistically be in starting lineups.
Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz is listed as out.
The Spin: He’s been a decent fantasy tight end this season but he won’t be playing in this game.
Colts TE Dwayne Allen is listed as questionable.
The Spin: Allen is more than likely to play on Sunday but he can’t be trusted for fantasy purposes.
Lions TE Eric Ebron is listed as questionable.
The Spin: There’s little doubt about his status as he should be playing on Sunday. He hasn’t done a lot in recent weeks but could see more targets with Theo Riddick expected to miss Sunday’s game.
Cardinals TE Jermaine Gresham is listed as questionable.
The Spin: He’s a game-time decision who is optimistically expected to play. With the departure of Michael Floyd, he could see more targets. He already has five receptions in three straight games.
Patriots TE Martellus Bennett is listed as questionable.
The Spin: The Patriots will list him questionable in July. With that said, he’s playing in Sunday’s showdown with the Broncos.
With Julio Jones out, Taylor Gabriel will see an uptick in snaps for the second straight week. The speedy playmaker has a great matchup against the 49ers.
The Cardinals released WR Michael Floyd and as a result, J.J Nelson will see more playing time. Last week he had two touchdowns on two touches against the Miami Dolphins.
Bears WR Alshon Jeffery returns this week from his four-game suspension. He is already the team’s No.1 WR but could see more targets than usual with wide receivers Marquess Wilson and Eddie Royal both out for Sunday.
