Crowell apologizes again, makes new pledge in aftermath of Instagram post
The controversy continues.
Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell has apologized again for his Instagram post after men in Louisiana and Minnesota were shot and killed by police.
Crowell immediately deleted the post and made a statement apologizing for his "extremely poor decision."
The Browns reacted by saying "just an apology is insufficient."
Early Wednesday morning, Crowell made another attempt to apologize, posting a video to his Facebook page. Crowell called his post "disgusting," then specifically apologized to "all of the good police officers who are out there protecting us every day."
Crowell then vowed to give his entire first game check to the Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation.
This comes after the Cleveland police union president's response to Crowell's initial apology was that he'd advise officers not to work Browns games at FirstEnergy stadium this season.
As of Wednesday afternoon, there has been no further word from the Browns outside of their statement Monday.
