Wild give Finnish Elite League's top scorer two-way deal for 2014-15

The Minnesota Wild inked free-agent right wing Michael Keranen to a two-way contract for next season, the team announced Thursday.
“We are excited to get Michael under contract for next season,” Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher said. “He had a very good year in Finland and our scouting staff thinks he is ready for the challenge of coming to North America. We are happy to add him to our lists of prospects and look forward to seeing how he performs in training camp."
Keranen, playing for Ilves Tampere, recorded 17 goals and 35 assists in the 2013-14 regular season, tying him for the most points in the league. NHL.com notes that the 24-year-old was given Liiga's Golden Helmet as the best player according to the athletes and named the Lasse Oksanen winner as the top regular-season performer.
