The Pittsburgh Penguins are one win away from clinching the Stanley Cup for the second time in the last eight seasons, and the play of center Sidney Crosby has been a huge reason why. Although Crosby hasn't scored since Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, he picked up two assists in wins at home to help the Penguins jump to a 2-0 series lead, and the greatest hockey player of all-time says that Crosby is currently "on a different level."
In an interview with Sportsnet, Wayne Gretzky explained why he believes Crosby is the best in the NHL.
Via Sportsnet.ca:
"I watch him play a lot because I admire the way he plays. It's not a big secret: I think he's the best player in the game. He just sees the game the right way, he always has. He's on a different level when he's playing like he is right now.... What Sid has is a little bit of an extra gear as far as his passing ability, his playmaking ability, the ability to make players around him on his team that much better."
