Arizona Coyotes center Antoine Vermette made the most of his day with the Stanley Cup this past weekend.

Vermette, who was dealt to the eventual-champion Chicago Blackhawks at last season's trade deadline, visited a children's hospital in Quebec City before being honored in his nearby hometown of Saint-Agapit. The 33-year-old rejoined the Coyotes as a free agent on July 1.

Vermette also had an enjoyable experience with the Stanley Cup last month, as his newborn daughter Emilia was photographed resting atop to honor Father's Day.

Vermette, who collected four goals in the playoffs, netted the winning tallies in Games 1 and 5 of the Stanley Cup against Tampa Bay en route to helping the Blackhawks secure their third championship in six seasons. He scored 13 goals and set up 22 others in 63 games with Arizona last season before being held to just three assists in 19 regular-season contests with Chicago.
