The Vancouver Canucks are in an extremely difficult situation and a six-game road trip won’t make life easier for them.

A very successful start into the year saw Vancouver Canucks fans making fun of those who predicted the team to finish last this season. Only five games later, the Canucks look a whole lot like a team that would finish 30th in the NHL.

Vancouver went from strong possession play to being the terrible team we know from the 2015-16 campaign. Their defense is bad, but they aren’t scoring goals to make up for that either. The team’s top player has been an undrafted NCAA signee who is likely to be kicked off the roster again once injured players return.

Two of our writers predict the Canucks to win. It doesn’t seem likely right now, but neither did it last season, when the Canucks ended Montreal’s nine-game winning streak at the beginning of the year.
