Jeff Deslauriers made 36 saves for his first NHL shutout, and Sheldon Souray and Ales Hemsky scored a team-record 7 seconds apart to lead the Edmonton Oilers over the Phoenix Coyotes, 4-0, on Monday night.
Ethan Moreau and Shawn Horcoff also scored for the Oilers, who have won two of three after a stretch of 11 losses in 14 games.
The Coyotes have dropped two of three and are yet to win consecutive games this month.
Moreau blew past Phoenix defender Sami Lepisto and beat goalie Ilya Bryzgalov at 7:59 of the first period. Edmonton then quickly opened a three-goal cushion when Souray scored at 11:07 and Hemsky at 11:14.
