Right from the drop of the puck, the New York Rangers were able to dominate against the St. Louis Blues. Coming into the game, the Rangers have been playing great at home, and their offense has been leading the way.
In their win on Tuesday night, it was no different. The Rangers continued to have a balanced attack on the offense end of the ice, rookie Jimmy Vesey is making a case to be an early Rookie of the Year candidate.
The win moves the Rangers to 7-3 on the season, and they now have 14 points. It doesn’t appear that anyone can stop the Rangers’ offense right now.
Three stars:
Jimmy Vesey, Rangers — It was another great game for the Rangers’ rookie, as he totaled one goal and two assists in the game. Vesey now has six goals for the season, and he is emerging as an amazing offseason signing.
Henrik Lundqvist, Rangers — Even though the Rangers’ offense was great on Tuesday, Lundqvist was fantastic in the net. The Blues had plenty of shots on Lundqvist, but he was able to have a great game in the shutout win.
Chris Kreider, Rangers — Chris Kreider made his return to the lineup on Tuesday, and he wasted no time helping the offense. In the win, Kreider totaled two assists on the first and fourth goals of the game.
