Sharks 4, Canucks 3

Tommy Wingels scored his second goal of the game with 6:04 left in the second period to put San Jose ahead, and the Sharks continued their perfect preseason with a 4-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday.
Brad Winchester, playing on a tryout contract, and Andrew Desjardins also scored, and Thomas Greiss made 26 saves for the Sharks (4-0-0). San Jose dressed most of its regulars, including their top line of Joe Thornton, Joe Pavelski and Patrick Marleau, and top defensive pairing of Dan Boyle and Douglas Murray.
Cody Hodgson, Alexander Sulzer and Nolan Baumgartner scored for the Canucks (2-3-0), who eliminated San Jose in the Western Conference final last May. Third-string goalie Eddie Lack made 30 saves as Vancouver continued to rest all of its top players for a fifth straight preseason game.
Canucks defenseman Aaron Rome didn't play the third period with an injured hand. Vancouver minor-league forward Steven Pinzotto also left in the first period with a shoulder injury and did not return.
Desjardins shot from atop the faceoff circle with 9:17 left and it went in off Baumgartner, and became the game-winner when Baumgartner converted a 5-on-3 with 2:57 left.
