Shades of Ovechkin: HS hockey player nets awesome goal like Great 8

Alex Hopkins of Wisconsin’s WSFLG Blizzard might be just a high school senior, but he scored an NHL-caliber goal during a recent playoff game against the New Richmond Tigers.
After a nice move on a defender resulted in Hopkins falling to the ice, he managed to channel his inner Alex Ovechkin and get his stick on the puck, poking it past the goalie for an incredible goal.
His team ultimately lost the game, but Hopkins’ score probably should have counted for at least three points. Watch his acrobatic goal in the video below.
