Report: Toronto sets price for Tyler Bozak

Published Jun. 25, 2015 10:47 a.m. ET

The Maple Leafs seem to be interested in trading as many players as possible, and according to Sportsnet's Damien Cox, the Leafs set an asking price for center Tyler Bozak at a second-round draft pick.

Bozak has a contract which hints at a top-six role, as he holds a cap hit of $4.2 million per season, but the defensive aspect of his game needs some work. Bozak finished the year with a career-worst minus-34 rating.

The 29-year-old does boast talent up front, as he posted back-to-back 49-point seasons, and his play as a center makes his contract a good deal for teams who could be interested in a second-line forward who can contribute immediately.
