Report: Bruins could look to former interim GM to replace Chiarelli

There have been multiple reports saying the Bruins could turn to assistant GM Don Sweeney as a new general manager, but a new report claims another familiar face could be in the running.
According to Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald, the Bruins have reached out to Rangers assistant general manager Jeff Gorton, who served as the Bruins' interim GM before the team signed Peter Chiarelli in 2006.
The Bruins drafted forwards Milan Lucic, Phil Kessel and Brad Marchand during Gorton's tenure, and they also flipped Andrew Raycroft for Tuukka Rask while Gorton was general manager. All of those moves contributed to the Bruins' recent run of success.
In addition to Gorton and Sweeney, the rumor mill claims the Bruins have interest in Ray Shero and Paul Fenton as other general manager candidates.
