More players may be added to the rosters closer to the game date.

The current Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins will also play an outdoor game in Pittsburgh 6 weeks later on February 25.

There’s not much room for more defensemen, but I wouldn’t mind seeing personal favorites like Mikael Renberg and Mark Recchi added. I also like seeing more recent retirees for bit quicker pace than men ~70 years old can manage.

The Penguins have not yet announced any players that will participate. Reports claim the Penguins have also been in the NHL since 1967, but I cannot personally confirm that any player of note actually played for them before the late 80s and Mario Lemieux.

It’s also a good thing these games do not need to provide alumni fans, because I’m not sure there were actually any Penguins fans pre-Lemieux.
