Penguins, Letestu agree to extension

Pittsburgh Penguins center Mark Letestu has signed a $1.25 million, two-year contract extension that runs through the 2012-13 season.

The deal was announced following the Penguins' 4-1 victory over the Red Wings on Tuesday night.

Letestu, who played his way onto the roster during training camp, has nine goals and 19 points in 46 games. He played the previous three seasons for the Penguins' top farm club, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL, and had 51 goals and 83 assists in 191 games.
