NHL Free Agency: Another lovely time of the year is among us, July 1st, where UFA's roam the free agency market and teams begin to engage in contract talks. For some, it only means a contract extension with their current team, but for others, it can mean a new city, team, teammates, coaching staff, gear, trainers, neighbors, etc. This is the time of the year where teams are trying to fill their roster with that one key piece and often look to the UFA's on the market to get the job done.

Sam Gagner– Gagner is coming off a pretty successful season last year with Columbus, the 27-year-old winger helped Columbus's power play quite a bit. After hearing some rumors about the Blackhawks having an interest in Gagner, could the depth winger fit perfectly with the Blackhawks come October?
Mike Fisher, coming off a Stanley Cup run the 37-year-old captain becomes a UFA come July 1st. With Nashville's abundance of expiring contracts and looking to take a crack at the Stanley Cup again next season could Fishers time in Nashville be up. It would be hard to imagine due to how much Nashville loves him and his wife but I guess for now we sit and wait!
Kris Versteeg, after a mediocre season in Calgary last year the 31-year-old winger is a UFA. With 37 points in 69 games last year, Versteeg has bounced around quite a bit his whole career. His proven experience and veteran ship leaves him as an interesting player for teams to consider July 1st. I think we can expect Versteeg to find a new home as some reports have said a few teams have expressed interest in him.
