New York Islanders: Greiss' World Cup Of Hockey Mask

New York Islanders Goalie Thomas Greiss pays homage to multiple European countries and autism with his World Cup of Hockey goalie mask.
The world cup of hockey is less than a month away. The New York Islanders have a few players participating, including goalie Thomas Greiss whose mask got released via his wife’s twitter.
I believe each country of @TeamEUR_WCH is a piece of the puzzle. Also our passion for autism was in mind/heart @NHLpic.twitter.com/OQ58nyl6ey

It’s great for Greiss to not only show his respect to his home country in Germany but also it shows respect to the other countries that are included in Team Europe. It’s not just about showing respect for the other countries but the design is appealing as well.
The puzzle pieces are on there to represent autism awareness. In 1999 the puzzle piece was adopted as the universal sign of autism awareness.
Thomas Greiss has only been with the Islanders for a short time but he has been very well liked by the fans. It’s actions like this that show why he is so well liked. Luckily for us the Islanders are very involved in the community and various charities. It also helps Greiss’ cause that he stood on his head throughout the playoffs
Brittney Greiss is really a great follow on twitter plus she always actively communicates with fans. The Greiss family is okay in my book.
