New York Islanders Daily: Looking For New Executive

The New York Islanders owners are apparently looking for a new big named executive. They want to find someone to oversee the Isles operations.
Scott Malking and Jon Ledecky have remained rather quiet as the New York Islanders have struggled in this early season. Although they have been busy trying to get a new executive to help run the Isles.
The search is for a new team President which is a role that Garth Snow has had since 2006. A team spokesman told Newsday that there is no search going on, but a league source debunked that.
Two big names that the Islanders and Rangers fans for that matter, know well are Pat LaFontaine and Brad Richards.
This is pretty interesting to me as LaFontaine is obviously an Islanders legend and has executive experience, while Richards has just finished up a 16-year career.
I think LaFontaine would be an interesting choice. He obviously knows what scoring is all about he has over 1,000 career points during his time playing in the NHL. He’s got the executive experience plus the connection to the team that the fans would love.
