Luongo to start despite struggles

Vancouver Canucks coach Alain Vigneault announced Thursday he would be sticking with goaltender Roberto Luongo as the starter for Friday's Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, despite yanking him in the third period of Game 4.
After leaking eight goals in Game 3, Luongo let in four more Wednesday night and became the scapegoat for Boston's rapid leveling of the series at two games apiece.
Luongo's replacement Cory Schneider gave up no goals on nine shots in playing the last 16:41 of Game 4, but Vigneault said he was staying with Luongo as the series returned to Vancouver.
"My gut at that time told me that putting Schneids in was the right thing to do, but it was just a one-[time] thing," Vigneault said.
"Roberto is the guy. He's my guy, and he's playing. It's that simple."
