Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang scored on of the Penguins goals in their 3-1 win over the New York Rangers on Tuesday. But it's what he did to Rangers winger Viktor Stalberg that might have a lingering impact.
In the third period, Letang was hit hard into the glass by Dominic Moore. As Letang goes into the boards he lifts his stick and hits Stalberg in the throat. Stalberg headed toward the Rangers bench after the play.

No penalty was assessed on the play, but the league might review it. Since there was no penalty on the play and Stalberg was unhurt, NHL likely won't punish Letang. The Penguins lead the series 2-1.
