WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- The Winnipeg Jets will be without defenseman Dustin Byfuglien for two to four weeks because of an upper-body injury.

Byfuglien left during the second period of a 3-1 loss to Ottawa on Wednesday. He appeared to be favoring his right arm.

Coach Paul Maurice also said after practice Friday that center Bryan Little will miss at least the early part of Winnipeg's upcoming four-game road trip with an upper-body injury.

Defenseman Mark Stuart left practice after being struck in the face by a puck. Maurice said he thought Stuart was OK but he'd know more after the player was checked.

The Jets hold the Western Conference's second wild-card spot with 76 points, one behind Minnesota.
