Islanders, enforcer Boulton agree to terms on one-year deal
The New York Islanders feel confident that veteran enforcer Eric Boulton has more in the tank.
The Islanders announced that the 39-year-old Boulton agreed to a one-year deal on Tuesday. Financial terms were not disclosed, however.
Boulton is no stranger to New York, having collected 154 penalty minutes in 48 games with the club over three different seasons.
The veteran forward returned to the Islanders in the preseason and attempted to seek revenge on Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson for his hit on defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky in Game 4 of the teams' first-round playoff series. Wilson refused to fight Boulton, who told Arthur Staple of Newsday that the 21-year-old was "scared to death."

A ninth-round pick in the 1994 draft, Boulton has collected 31 goals, 48 assists and 1,419 penalty minutes in 648 career contests with the Buffalo Sabres, Atlanta Thrashers, New Jersey Devils and Islanders.
