Don Cherry gives Detroit coach Mike Babcock career advice

Detroit coach Mike Babcock is reportedly speaking with many people about the next step in his coaching career, but it is unknown whether he spoke with former NHL coach and current media analyst Don Cherry.
Cherry won the Jack Adams Award, the NHL's highest coaching honor, in 1976, but he is known more now for his zany commentary and even more outlandish wardrobe than his coaching career. Still, he took the time during the Coach's Corner segment on Friday to offer Babcock some advice.
"I have some suggestions for him,” Cherry said on Coach's Corner. “I would say San Jose. Don’t go to a rebuilding team, it’ll break your heart. You only have one life, enjoy it. Go to San Jose. I bet he goes to San Jose. I think that’s where he’s going to go.”
San Jose parted ways with coach Todd McLellan in April after the team missed the playoffs for the first time in 11 years. Other rumored destinations for Babcock include Boston, Toronto, Buffalo and St. Louis.
