St. Louis Blues defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo was placed on injured reserve after being struck in the face by a puck for the second straight game.

Colaiacovo was struck near the left eye in a 2-1 victory over Los Angeles on Tuesday night, and the team said Wednesday he's expected to be out at least two weeks.

Colaiacovo missed two starts after getting struck just above the mouth at Anaheim on Jan. 12.

Colaiacovo has four goals and 16 points in 36 games thus far this year.
