Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Young Guns

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks young guns are playing in Traverse City this week and after a day off, they play their last game tonight before the medal round games on Tuesday.
The Chicago Blackhawks prospects learned a pretty quick lesson this weekend, and they looked much better in their 2nd attempt in the Traverse City tournament.
They lost 3-2 in their opening game, but they followed that up with a 5-0 victory against the Detroit Red Wings prospects.
I like offense so seeing a 5-0 victory got me excited about this batch of Chicago Blackhawks prospects. The surprising thing about seeing the outcome was the fact that Nick Schmaltz didn’t play in the victory.
Alex DeBrincat looks to be a real offensive prospect and he scored a goal in the Blackhawks prospect victory. The star of the game was Gustav Forsling who has been rumored to be returning to his country if he doesn’t make the Blackhawks out of training camp.
Forsling has good offense sense from a defenseman which would fit in nicely in the Joel Quenneville system. The Blackhawks have struggled lately getting the puck forward when they have played the Michal Rozsival‘s and other veterans, but this new wave could be the answer even if it’s not for a few more years down the line.
It will be interesting to see what the prospects do tonight in their final bracket game, but if they are scoring goals I’m excited to watch and or read about them!
