Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Wheel Of Fortin
Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fan! The Chicago Blackhawks played their last preseason game at the United Center before their October 12th season opener against the St. Louis Blues, and they skated away with a 6-1 victory.
After the first few games, it appeared that the Chicago Blackhawks youth were going to get overwhelmed by the NHL with them not scoring for the first 150 minutes of the preseason.
Well, with some of the extreme youth gone, and some of the Chicago Blackhawks regulars back in the lineup, the Blackhawks youth look to be ok.
If you look at the box score from the Chicago Blackhawks 6-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings, the kids were all over the box score and look to be ok.
The biggest winner last night had to be Alexandre Fortin who really is making the final roster call by Joel Quenneville a tough one.
Fortin looks to be have a lot of speed with good vision which is something that really was missing last season since Brandon Saad was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
I still seems like it’s a bit of a long shot for Fortin with all of the other Blackhawks prospects playing well last night, but if you know me and have read Blackhawk Up for a while, you know that I want youth with potential on the ice which means I’m rooting for Fortin to make the roster this season.

We shall see if Fortin makes it, but either way it looks like the kids sprinkled in with the veterans will be ok this season.
