Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Shorthanded In Columbus

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks take to the road tonight when they head to the home of the Cannon when they face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight.
The Chicago Blackhawks take to the road for the second time this season as they head to Columbus to face the Blue Jackets tonight. The last time the Hawks were in Columbus, Patrick Kane was putting up his last points in his Hart Trophy season in the season finale in the middle of April.
The Blackhawks are a different team than the one that took the ice last spring, and one player that won’t be on the ice tonight is Marian Hossa who finally scored his 500th goal in the Hawks victory on Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Hossa in his attempt to preserve the victory blocked a shot with his foot and is day to day, but Hossa is expected to miss tonight’s game.
The other surprise in the lineup is that Brian Campbell is expected to be scratched tonight, and Mr. trade rumor Trevor van Riemsdyk will be back in the lineup tonight. Campbell hasn’t been playing to the level of expectation that Hawks fans were dreaming about when he signed the hometown discount.
That being said maybe this is a showcase game for TVR before he gets moved for a forward or draft pick early into the season. One thing that is certain, and that’s TVR has to play better than he did in the season opener if he’s going to see more playing time with the Chicago Blackhawks after tonight.
