Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Offensive Fireworks
Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks found their offensive game on Tuesday building off of their performance Saturday night, and it was fun to watch pucks going into the back of the net.
The Chicago Blackhawks looked like the Blackhawks of 7 years ago when they put on an offensive show at the United Center last night on National TV and scored 7 goals with only one of them an open net goal.
The highlight of the game had to be Marian Hossa scoring his 500th career goal, and if you missed it we have the replay of the goal on the following tweet.

Of course, the other good part of the game last night was the fact that the 2nd line got back to being the second line with Patrick Kane picking up his first goal of his season while adding 3 assists. Artemi Panarin scored his first goal of the season (and his second) while picking up an assist, and Artem Anisimov scored twice and picked up 2 assists.
The game showed why Joel Quenneville needed to leave the 2nd line alone and figure out the other three lines.
The one player that didn’t pick up a single point when the Blackhawks scored 7 times was the Captain Jonathan Toews. The question leans towards is Toews underperforming and should he be scoring more or is he doing what he’s supposed to be doing while not finding the scoresheet?
Toews is the best leader in the NHL so his scoring to me isn’t as big of a deal if the 2nd line is performing, but there will be times this season that the team will need Toews to produce on the offensive end of the ice.
