Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Motte Making Noise

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks after nearly 150 minutes of preseason hockey without scoring a goal, the team finally scored and then scored three more times for the 4-0 win in their third preseason game.
It sure makes it easier to score goals when Artemi Panarin and Patrick Kane are out on the ice making plays.

The Chicago Blackhawks are now 1-2 in three preseason games, but after all of the Chicago Blackhawks faithful starting getting down on the prospects not being able to score, Tyler Motte decided to break through in a big way.
Motte has probably been one of the best players in the first three games for the Chicago Blackhawks, and finally the hard worked paid off not once but twice for the Hawks rookie as he scored twice in the 4-0 victory.
Joel Quenneville said he was a pretty special player in the Hawks win which is as good as it gets from Coach Q.

So after the game it sure looks like Motte has locked up a roster spot which leaves only a few more for prospects.
The other player that Coach Q and the coaching staff has liked before and after the game has been Gustav Forsling. It seems like he might have jumped up past Erik Gustafsson on the depth chart for defenseman, but we will see if Forsling can carry the momentum to a roster spot.
Still some more hockey to play, and roster spots to be one which will make the final 9 days pretty exciting.
