Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Heading To Chicago

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks for the first time in four seasons will not kick off training camp on the University of Notre Dame’s ice but instead they will start training camp in Chicago.
The Chicago Blackhawks had seemingly started a new tradition of starting training camp out of town on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. Everyone seemed to like the facilities and being out of town to kick off the season.
This year the short lived tradition comes to an end with the Chicago Blackhawks kicking off training camp in the city. The reason given by Chicago Blackhawks General Manager is that with the World Cup going on at the same time as training camp the roster will be thinned out so staying at home is the best option for the Chicago Blackhawks this year.
The Chicago Blackhawks stars will be in Canada for the World Cup along with their coach Joel Quenneville so the move makes sense.
The one thing about the World Cup is this question, Is anyone really excited about it? I know I really don’t care too much about it. I like the Olympics and that tournament, but I’m not sure what this World Cup really means except another world tourney where everyone will be gunning for the stacked Team Canada.
Jonathan Toews will be wearing the A for Team Canada and Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin among other Chicago Blackhawks stars will be playing in the tournament so it’s goodbye Notre Dame for at least this year and hello Johnny’s Ice House for training camp 2016!
