Carey Price Out with Flu: will not Travel to Ottawa with Habs

The Habs will be without Carey Price for at least one more game.
Last night the Habs were without Carey Price and they will be without him again. The Montreal Canadiens have announced that Carey Price wouldn’t available when the Habs travel to Ottawa for Saturday nights game.
How long Carey Price will be out is not known, but Carey’s condition is not believed to be too serious. Hopefully Carey will be back in the Canadiens net soon. However, this could be another good test for the Habs.
More from A Winning Habit
Last season Mike Condon struggled after Price re-aggravated his knee injury in a game against the New York Rangers. The Habs management clearly had improving the teams depth in goal as a priority as the team would go on to sign veteran Al Montoya.
Through training camp Montoya outplayed Condon and won the teams backup duties. Last night Montoya looked sharp making 30 saves on 31 shots against the Buffalo Sabers. The Habs also played very well in Price’s absence as the Canadiens won 4-1.
The Canadiens going on the road and winning against a division rival minus their star goalie is good news for the team. The team lacked mental toughness last season and have been called a fragile group more than once. So the team being able to win shows that the team may have improved their mental toughness.
The Canadiens will look to continue their strong start in Ottawa as the take on the Senators Saturday night. Montoya could really do well in boosting the teams confidence with another strong showing. Montoya and the Habs will look to come away with another win against another division rival.
