Canucks sign North Dakota defenseman Troy Stecher

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) The Vancouver Canucks signed North Dakota defenseman Troy Stecher on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old Stecher, from Richmond, British Columbia, helped North Dakota win the NCAA title last week. He had eight goals and 29 assists in 43 games for the Fighting Hawks this season.
