Blackhawks, van Riemsdyk agree to 2-year extension

CHICAGO (AP) Defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk and the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2017-18 season.
The Blackhawks announced the move on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old van Riemsdyk had one assist in 18 regular-season games with the Blackhawks last season. He skated in four Stanley Cup Final games.
