Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane could be out for up to three weeks with a leg injury he suffered after hitting the boards early in Sunday's win over Calgary.
Kane, who scored the clinching goal in the Blackhawks' win over Philadelphia in the Stanley Cup finals in June, was hurt after he was checked by Calgary's Cory Sarich.
The 22-year-old Kane has 11 goals and 16 assists this season as Chicago has struggled in the first two months after losing numerous players from the championship team because of salary cap limitations.
The Blackhawks, who play the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night, are already without star forward Marian Hossa, who suffered a lower body injury last month in practice.
