The 28-year-old failed to record a point while playing in seven regular-season games and nine postseason contests in 2014-15. The Blackhawks secured their third Stanley Cup title in six seasons by besting the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games.
Cumiskey has collected nine goals and 26 assists in 139 career games with the Colorado Avalanche and Blackhawks. He also spent two seasons playing in Sweden from 2012-14.
