If Brandon Halverson never makes it as a Ranger, perhaps he can give New York's comedy clubs a go.

After all, based on what he did on the ice Thursday night, he won't be threatening Henrik Lundquist for the starting gig anytime soon. And based on what he did afterward, he has a solid sense of humor and could shake off the cat calls on stage pretty quickly.

Halverson was taken by New York with the 59th overall selection in the 2014 NHL Draft, the team's first selection in that draft. So clearly they have high hopes for the 18-year-old American. But while playing Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League, he mishandled the puck behind the net and put it right into his own goal.
