Alex Ovechkin sports deep v-neck, plays hard to get in trippy Russian pop music video

Alex Ovechkin has donned a number of hats in his professional hockey-playing career. Russian national team player. Washington Capitals star. Cool dinner companion to 10-year-old fans.
Now he can add video vixen to that list.
The Washington Capitals left wing made a stone-cold impression as star of Russian pop musician's Katya Lel's somewhat bizarre video for her single "Let Them Talk" — even though the Moscow native didn't do very much throughout the three-and-a-half minute clip.
Ovechkin spent most of the video in deep, deep v-neck and gold chain befitting a Europop single, and maintained his best stoic Blue Steel expression to show off his imperviousness to Katya Lel's vocal charms. Which showed a fair amount of cool-as-ice acting chops, considering that the Russian pop star (who could pass as the Slavic love child of Robyn and Portia de Rossi) climbed all over him in a passionate emotion play.
Later, Lel drapes herself in a jersey across a hockey goal while Ovechkin takes a couple passes to "score" on her.
If it all sounds like a trip, it's because it is:
Though it's smart of Ovechkin to keep a toehold in the music world while his rap career is on ice.
