Alex Killorn: Lightning have to 'give a push back instead of just taking it'

The Lightning were full of fighting words following a pre-Game 4 practice, and young forward Alex Killorn elaborated for the media.
"You’ve just got to realize what’s on the line,” Killorn said to NHL.com. "We’re fighting for our lives right now. I think we had that kind of mentality in Game 2. When adversity came our way, we were going to go through it. We’ve got to get back to that for sure."
The Lightning are not out of the series in any way -- they are, after all, only facing a 2-1 deficit -- but a lacking effort in a shutout in Game 3 tends to rile up the naysayers.
There is a valid argument that Tampa beat itself in Game 3. The Lightning did not look like their usual high-flying, crisp selves. Their passing was off, they were hitting pipes instead of the net, and the sustained 60-minute effort just wasn't there.
Killorn said he thinks the Lightning have a lot more to offer than what they showed in Game 3, and he wasn't afraid to call the entire team out.
"We weathered the storm, that first 10 minutes we weathered it, but we’ve got to do better," Killorn told NHL.com. "We’ve got to realize they’re going to have a little bit of a push, but we’ve got to give a push back instead of just taking it.
