Tampa Bay has a roster full of young stars, but it does inject its lineup with the presence of some elder statesmen. At 36 years old, forward Brenden Morrow serves as one of the few veteran influencers on the team, and his career experiences give the team some perspective on making it to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Morrow made it this far once before, as he was a rookie on a Dallas Stars team which made it to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2000. Morrow came away from that experience empty-handed. Now, 15 years later, Morrow has a second chance to win a Cup.

Morrow told the media he addressed the team before the playoffs to give perspective on the opportunity in front of them.

"I just kind of laid out my career, told them how lucky I was as a rookie but maybe didn’t understand the situation I was in," Morrow told reporters. "Fifteen years later, not being back, just to take advantage, because it takes a good team, but it takes a lot of luck and a lot of help along the way. So [don’t] let any opportunity pass you by."
