While other NFC South teams improve, Davis remains confident in Panthers

The Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have all taken steps in the right direction during the 2015 offseason, but Thomas Davis is still confident in his Carolina Panthers.

According to David Newton of ESPN, Davis is ready to find out which teams really got better once the upcoming season begins.

"You don’t improve by adding players to your team," Davis said Tuesday during a press event at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where he will drive the pace car for this Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600. "You improve by going out there and doing what we did [last year], coming together as a group, working hard and learning the defense, learning the offense and learning how to play special teams."

"At the end of the day, when the season starts, we’ll find out who really got better." Davis told ESPN.

It's not surprising to see Davis' confidence at an all-time high. He's coming off an incredible season and is likely to get a new contract sooner than later. The Panthers are the team to beat in the NFC South currently, as they currently hold the title of division champions.
