WATCH: Ron Rivera apologized to Tom Coughlin for Panthers' behavior

Odell Beckham Jr. may be the one who got suspended and is being roasted by pundits for his antics against this past Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, but it is Carolina head oach Ron Rivera who felt the need to apologize to New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin after Sunday's game.

When the two coaches met at midfield after the Panthers' 38-35 win over the Giants, Rivera took it upon himself to issue a mea culpa on behalf of his players.

In case you missed that, here's how it went.

"I'm sorry about my guys' behavior, coach. You did a great job," Rivera said.

"Hell of a game," Coughlin said in response.

In some ways, it may have been the game of the year. The Giants rallied from 35-7 down to tie the game, only to have the Panthers march down the field and kick the game-winning field goal and win 38-35.

Beckham and Panthers cornerback Josh Norman provided quite the sideshow. The Giants star wide receiver was flagged three times for scuffling with Norman, who seemed to get in Beckham's head.

On top of that, there is the issue of the pregame bat and alleged threats made to Beckham, who has been suspended for Sunday's game against the Vikings.

After all that, you wonder if Coughlin wanted to tell Rivera to stuff his sorries in a sack.
