There’s now a video to go with one of the stranger stories of the Fourth of July weekend.

First Coast News in Jacksonville on Wednesday posted video obtained from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office that shows what police say is Jaguars running back Denard Robinson driving his car into a retention pond early on the morning of July 3.

The car does a slow roll through an intersection – crossing into oncoming traffic – before exiting the frame.

According to a police report, Robinson and his female passenger were both asleep in the car when an officer responded to a call on the incident. Robinson then “opened his eyes and went back to sleep” when the officer tried to wake them. When the officer continued to knock on the window, the passenger woke up and said, “What’s up.”

The report said the officer determined Robinson was not impaired and should not be charged with DUI.

Robinson later shared on update on Twitter:

Robinson, 25, was a 2013 fifth-round pick and has 914 rushing yards and 288 receiving yards in three seasons.
