Daniel Rodriguez was probably the biggest longshot to make the Rams 53-man roster.
Listed at 5-foot-8, 180 pounds, Rodriguez walked onto the Clemson football team before going undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Still, the Rams gave him an opportunity.
But it was his backstory that captured the attention of so many.
Rodriguez served on tours in Iraq and Afghanistan as a member of the Army; he earned a Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart for his services fighting at the Battle of Kamdesh, one of the bloodiest battles in Afghanistan.
Although he was cut, Rodriguez expressed nothing but gratitude while with the Rams during training camp and preseason.

Thanks to the @STLouisRams organization, staff, and fan base for being quality people.
