Vikings missing rookie cornerback Cook again

The Minnesota Vikings could be without rookie cornerback Chris Cook again.

Cook tore the meniscus in his right knee, had surgery in late August and missed the first two games. He was in the starting lineup against the Lions Sept. 26 to make his NFL regular-season debut, but with the Vikings back from their bye this week Cook has not participated in practice.

The team listed his knee as the reason for appearing on the injury report. Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said Friday he's hopeful Cook can play against the Jets Monday.

Tight end Visanthe Shiancoe (hamstring) and center John Sullivan (calf) were each limited Friday with their leg-muscle injuries. Quarterback Brett Favre wore a sleeve on his throwing elbow and was listed as limited.
